The Razor Tape Production Line contains following equipment;

• Motorized Tape (Sheet Metal) Decoiler
• High-Speed Lamination Press, equipped with Servo-Feeder
• Press (Cutting) Die
• Cassette Winding System

Our Tape Decoiler is a closed-loop controlled, motorized pay-off, that feeds the razor tape raw material to the press. With aid of its sensors, this decoiler adjust its speed (i.e. decoiling amount of tape material) regarding press speed. As the raw material flows in our High-Speed Lamination Press, a precise, “servo controlled” feeder draws the exact amount of material at each cycle. 

In order to reduce scrap, a “multi-line” cutting die, separates raw material typically into 5 or 7 lines and forms razor blades. Those individual lines are about to be wound onto Razor Tape Cassettes by our smart Cassette Winding Station fast but delicately. 

Conventional razor tape production lines have 2 significant drawbacks; i) They can not control the tension of the tape while winding/coiling, which results in stretch or deformation of the tape that will affect razor blade dimensions. ii) They can not control the tightness of the winding/coiling, which results in unexpected loosening while decoiling of tape cassette.

Our smart Cassette Winding System adjust its winding/coiling speed referencing the press and automatically adjust tightness and coiling speed of each individual cassette! Therefore, it sustains the ideal geometry of razor blade profiles and control the tightness of the windings ideally, so that they can not loosen while decoiling.

All of the system components are “interlocked” by their control software so that you do not have to start/stop or interrupt system components individually. Just a single start from main control cabinet is sufficient to make whole line work automatically!
